Succulents in the Garden Today

It’s Spring, and many plants in my garden are very happy about this. Especially the succulents! They are putting on quite a show as they enjoy the slightly warmer temps and as well as more daylight. That would make me happy, too! I am growing Japanese Painted Ferns for the first time, after years of admiring them. Very pleased with them!

Gorgeous Aeonium. Not sure which one, but it likes a little shade and clusters nicely. Stays more burgundy with more shade.

  1. What a lovely blog post! The way you describe your garden and the plants in it, especially the succulents, is very engaging. I am curious, what made you decide to try growing Japanese Painted Ferns after admiring them for so many years? Are they difficult to care for or do they have any special requirements? Thank you for sharing your gardening adventures with us!
