My family roots are mainly in South Carolina and Georgia, going back many generations. Mostly poor and not well-educated, but hard-working and close knit. Had to be; they all lived so close together.
Another pic of kids and cars. Not sure whose Ford this is, but the children are my cousins along with my older brother sitting on the ground. Some time in 1952 in Anderson, South Carolina.
Most likely a holiday or special occasion. The clothes these little cuties are wearing are considered “nice.” Possibly made by hand. My grandparents were skilled at this.
Easy to see that these large cars came in handy.
